Celebrate Midsummer with us at Åkerblads!

Midsummer in Dalarna. The celebration lasts for several weeks. At Åkerblads, we traditionally celebrate it on Midsummer’s Eve.

The midsummer package includes breakfast and dinner. You are welcome to book lunch if you prefer. We especially recommend our lunch on Midsummer’s Eve, with our delicious strawberry cake for dessert. Please book in advance to be guaranteed a table.

The Midsummer package:

Experience a traditional Swedish midsummer with fiddlers, may poles, dance and much more!

During the Midsummer weekend, our three-day accommodation package including breakfast buffet and dinner. You are welcome to book lunch if you prefer. We especially recommend our Smörgåsbord lunch on Midsummer’s Eve. Please book in advance to be guaranteed a table.

19 June:

Upon arrival you are welcome to take part in the Midsummer preparations by picking flowers and tieing bouquets for our may pole. In the evening, a 3-course dinner is served. Before you start enjoying the kitchen’s creations, we welcome you with a drink in the foyer.

Midsummer’s Eve:

After breakfast today, you are all warmly welcome to help with the final preparations of the may pole. Our large ”Midsummer smorgosbord” is served 12.30-2 PM (575:-/person). Around 3 PM we raise our may pole in the hotel’s garden, followed by live music and dancing.  Our 4-course Midsummer dinner will be served in our restaurant. The Tällberg village’s may pole is raised in the evening, if you would like to continue the celebrations.

Midsummer Day:

After breakfast there is the opportunity to follow our guide on an interesting hike in beautiful Tällberg. There are also a lot of Midsummer celebrations to join in other villages if of interest. For lunch today, ”smorgosbord” is served (515:-/person, please book in advance). A summer-inspired 4-course menu is served for dinner tonight.
